What is EDDM?Every Door Direct Mail service is an easy, cost-effective way to reach potential Alpha guests. Just create your personalized mail piece in the Alpha Print Shop, then select postal routes and pay for postage online at USPS.com. Next, bring your mailing to your local Post Office for delivery to every household on your chosen routes. EDDM allows you to do some of the work yourself thus reducing mail preparation costs. The USPS is also offering this service at a discounted postage rate of 9¢ each (non-profit rates) which is a.10 - .20 cents per piece savings!
How Does It Work?
1. Plan Your Mailing: Use the USPS mapping tool to help choose your postal routes.

3. Pay for Postage Online and Prepare your Mail per USPS Guidelines: Pay for postage online and let us, tray and tag for you, or pay for postage at the post office and prepare the mail yourself.

2 Ways to use Every Door Direct Mail
1. You Prepare the Mail: You can print the postcards with us and we will send them to you for you to complete the preparations for the Every Door Direct Mail program. We will assist you in creating your paperwork and consult with you on preparing your cards for Every Door Direct Mail delivery if needed.
2. We Prepare the Mail for you: We can prepare all of your paperwork for you and bundle the mailing exact to post office guidelines. You just need to give us the postal routes you want to mail to. Once prepared, we ship the cards to you and all you have to do is drop them off at the post office. We do everything for you except drop the cards off to the post office. How many mail pieces can I send?
Every Door Direct Mail-Retail® service, which allows you to send up to 5,000 mail pieces a day per ZIP Code™. Because you'll be using our approved Retail Indicia, you don't need to purchase a postage permit. For nonprofit rates you will need a valid nonprofit authorization number.
What are the size requirements and specifications for mail pieces?
Your mail pieces will need to meet certain size and weight restrictions. The size we use (6.25 x 9) is approved for EDDM mailings by the USPS.
Do I have to pay for my mailing online?
No. If you don't pay for your mailing online, you will need to pay at your local Post Office™ with cash, credit/debit card, or check when you bring the mail.
How should I bring my mailing to the Post Office?
Bring your mailing in bundles of 100 mail pieces with facing slips attached and the mailing statement you created using the USPS online tool.
What is a facing slip and why do I need one?
The facing slip includes information for the Post Office on how to process your order. After confirming your order online, you should print your facing slip for each route you selected.
